Welcome!
Good evening from Grumm studios,
My wife has created this “blog” for me and I thought it might be interesting to get a small bit of insight into what is on my brain. Usually, it is complete randomness, but indirectly I think it all finds its way back to my art. Many times, I never really figure it out. When I was little, I wrote regularly in a journal, but ever since I started drawing, I found that to be a more descriptive outlet. Perhaps the dual angles will be interesting. I will not make an effort to organize my thoughts, since I prefer the randomness, a little like my paintings.
I guess you should know, that last night at 3am I ran out of raw sienna, and wished for a brief moment there was a 24-hour “art mart” and the one near my studio would have a drive through. In addition, while were going with this 3am fantasy, the raw sienna would be on sale! Oh, and they would have a fresh cup of coffee, and a stamp card, so the 10th cup of joe would be free.
Which reminds me, if anyone out there has an affiliation with any oil change franchises, like grease monkey, or jiffy lube, they really need to have punch cards too. People would be so motivated to come back to the same place every 3k miles if, like the coffee stands, they gave you a punch card, and the 10th visit is free. Why do I have to come up with this crap? Can’t they come up with ideas that bring there stockholders added revenue.
I need to go, it's time to punch the art clock. my wife has gone to bed, and the coffee maker just beeped. I will talk to you soon. Art dog (more on her later) and I are signing off, t.
